Apply for a storage or holding tank permit

The Department of Public Health issues permits for storage holding tanks for sewage waste.

Who

Anyone who wants to have a storage or holding tank for sewage waste on their property must have the appropriate permit.

Cost

The cost is $100 per location. You can pay using a money order made out to Department of Public Health – EHS.

How

Submit a completed application for a storage or holding tank permit, along with the appropriate fee. It will take approximately 10–14 days for you to receive your permit. Keep it on site and available upon request.
