Get walk-in testing and treatment for STIs

You can get free, confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, at the STD clinic at Health Center 1 (1930 S. Broad St.,2nd floor, 19145).

If you’re a registered patient, you can use our secure HealthCenterConnect Patient Portal to get information about your care, appointments, and health education.


Anyone over the age of 13 can get STI testing and treatment.


You don’t need an appointment. Walk-in services are on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive as early as possible to be sure you will be seen.

Health Center 1 is the City’s dedicated walk-in clinic for STI testing and treatment.

* On the first Wednesday of each month, the clinic at Health Center 1 opens at 1 p.m.

On very busy days, clinics may close earlier than the times listed above. Call before your visit to confirm that the STD clinic is open.

Low-Threshold Sexual Health Services

The Department of Public Health partners with community organizations to offer low-threshold sexual health services (L-SHS) to city residents. Low-threshold sexual health sites reduce barriers to HIV prevention services through extended hours and walk-in availability.

Services offered at L-SHS sites include:

  • Rapid and laboratory-based testing for HIV.
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing.
  • Hepatitis C (HCV) testing.
  • Pregnancy testing.
  • PrEP and PEP.
  • Treatment for HIV, STIs (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis) and HCV.
  • Sexual health education.
