Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) is a viral disease. The virus is mostly spread through skin-to-skin contact. A pregnant person can also pass mpox to a fetus.
JYNNEOS is a two-dose vaccine developed to protect against mpox. Anyone in Philadelphia who thinks they’re likely to be exposed to mpox can get the vaccine.
