Report illegal smoking

Philadelphia passed the Clean Indoor Air Worker Protection Law in 2006. This law protects Philadelphians from secondhand smoke and aerosols from vaping in most:

  • Restaurants.
  • Bars.
  • Workplaces.

Smoke-free policies have since expanded to include:

  • Public and private housing.
  • Recreation centers and parks.
  • Colleges and universities.
  • Behavioral health treatment settings.

Requirements

In areas designated as smoke-free, it is illegal to smoke tobacco or use electronic smoking devices that deliver nicotine or other substances via vapor inhalation, including:

  • E-cigarettes.
  • E-cigars.
  • E-pipes.
  • E-hookah.

How

Anyone who sees or knows about illegal smoking can report it online or by calling 1 (888) 99-SMOKE (1-888-99-76653).

We investigate every report. Establishments will be ticketed if they continue to violate.
