If you’re in danger of getting your utilities shut off or going without heat in your home, there are programs that can help you.

Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF)

UESF is funded by the Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). This program provides assistance to low-income individuals and families who need help paying utility bills.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

LIHEAP offers cash grants to help low-income families pay their heating bills. Crisis grants are also available for households in immediate danger of being without heat.
