Pay outstanding tax balances

If you have outstanding tax debts that need to be paid to the City, it’s important for you to communicate with us so we can help you make a plan to pay.

Make a full or partial payment online

To file and pay your taxes online, use the Philadelphia Tax Center. For help getting started, or for answers to common questions, see our tax center guide.

You may have to register for a City tax account number or PIN if you don’t have one. To pay outstanding property taxes, visit the Philadelphia Tax Center.

Arrange a payment plan if you need one

If you can’t pay your debt in full or if you need more time to pay, you can set up a payment plan through the Philadelphia Tax Center. Here are the steps:

  1. Log into your Philadelphia Tax Center profile.
  2. Choose “More options” to access the “Payments and returns” tab in your dashboard.
  3. Select “Request payment agreement.” Here, you can pick a payment plan that fits your budget, set the first payment date, and make a down payment. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

If you haven’t yet created a username and password, visit the Philadelphia Tax Center to do so. You will need it to request a payment agreement online.

You can also start a payment agreement by calling the Department of Revenue at (215) 686-6600. Our customer representatives will help you set up a payment plan that takes into account your income and other factors.
