OHCD Issues Housing Trust Fund Report

OHCD has issued its Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Report for Fiscal Year 2012. In FY 12, the HTF created 230 new affordable homes, repaired or rehabilitated more than 3,200 homes and heaters, prevented 573 people from becoming homeless, leveraged
$53 million in non-city resources, and led to the employment of more than 1,500 construction workers.

OHCD, PRA Issue Affordable Housing Development RFPs for Point Breeze
The Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) and the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (PRA) have issued a total of three Requests for Proposal (RFP) for affordable housing development in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood.
OHCD issued two of the RFPs. One is for the development of affordable homeownership housing on vacant lots located at 2325-35 Cross Street and at 2330-36 Greenwich Street. The second seeks proposals for the development of 10 affordable homeownership units on vacant lots near 17th and Manton Streets.
The PRA RFP seeks developers to rehabilitate, market and sell six publicly owned scattered site vacant structures for homeownership. In this RFP the developer will be paid a fee upon the sale of each completed home to an eligible homeowner.
Proposals are due for each RFP no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 30, 2013.

City Releases Year 39 Preliminary Consolidated Plan
The Office of Housing and Community Development has released the Year 39 Preliminary Consolidated Plan, the City’s application for housing funds in four key programs. PHDC issues RFQ for Weatherization Contractors
The Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC) is seeking qualified heating and general contractors to perform weatherization services for the Weatherization Assistance Program.
A briefing session will be held on May 10, and is mandatory for new contractors.
Qualifications packages are due by 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

PHDC Issues RFP for Adaptive Modifications
The Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation (PHDC) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide services for the Adaptive Modifications Program, which enables people with disabilities to live more independently in their homes.
