Neighborhood Energy Centers (NECs)

Neighborhood Energy Centers provide information on how to save on utilities and get help paying energy bills.

Please do not visit the offices of any of the agencies listed below. Please call the phone number for the agency you wish to reach to find out how they are serving clients during the COVID-19 crisis.

NECs in the community

The Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) supports the Energy Coordinating Agency’s (ECA) Neighborhood Energy Centers (NECs).

At NECs, residents can:

  • Apply for bill payment assistance.
  • Learn how to conserve water, gas, and electricity.
  • Get energy counseling.
