Homelessness Prevention

Two programs help households that are in danger of becoming homeless. The Housing Retention Program is for homeowners who have fallen behind on a mortgage and the Homelessness Prevention Program is for renters facing eviction. Download the flyer.

Housing Retention Program

Have you fallen behind in your mortgage payments and are at risk of becoming homeless?

The Housing Retention Program may be able to assist you!

To be eligible for assistance, you must:

  • Be experiencing a financial crisis and at risk of becoming homeless
  • Lack financial resources and/or supports to avoid delinquency and possible homelessness
  • Be able to provide a mortgage delinquency letter
  • Be able to provide proof of homeownership
    (deed, taxes)

You must also meet the income guidelines below:

Homelessness Prevention Program

Have you received an eviction notice and are at risk of becoming homeless?

The Homelessness Prevention Program may be able to assist you!

To be eligible for assistance, you must:

  • Be experiencing a financial crisis and at imminent risk of becoming homeless
  • Have received a court eviction hearing notice or court-ordered eviction
  • Have received a notice to vacate from landlord
  • Lack family and financial resources, placing you at risk for homelessness
  • Have the ability to sustain housing after receiving assistance

You must also meet the income guidelines below:
