OHCD supports many special-needs persons including seniors, youth, veterans, those with physical disabilities, those with HIV/AIDS, individuals with intellectual disabilities, alcohol and drug addiction, and survivors of domestic violence, Programs include affordable housing, housing assistance, home repairs and support services such as legal advice and housing counseling. OHCD supports the Office of Supportive Housing which provides housing, rental assistance and services to homeless populations.
Gaudenzia helps people affected by drug and alcohol dependency, mental illness and related conditions to achieve a better quality of life. Serving about 20,000 individuals annually, Gaudenzia operates 147 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Gaudenzia operates affordable, transitional and permanent drug-free housing to help clients stabilize their recovery following treatment.
