Background
In July 2012, the Gaming Board ("Gaming Board") announced the opening of an application period for a Category 2 Slot Machine License and table Games Certificate in the City of Philadelphia. The Category 2 license enables a casino operator to have up to 5,000 slot machines and 250 table games. The Gaming Board received six applications for the license in November 2012:

The City is reviewing each proposal for potential impacts and share its findings from this review with the Gaming Board so that it can be considered during the Gaming Board's final decision-making.
Public feedback is an important component of the City's review of Casino proposals and is being collected in several ways. Three open house meetings were held on March 26, 27, and 28 to share details of the six proposals and record comments from the public. An online survey was also available. A report summarizing the public input is available
