Please note that the Protect Our Workers, Enforce Rights (POWER) Act was signed into law on May 27, 2025, and (1) amended Philadelphia’s wage theft, paid sick leave, and Domestic Worker Bill of Rights ordinances; and (2) established two new Chapters — “Protecting Victims of Retaliation” (Phila. Code § 9-6500) and “Enforcement of Worker Protection Ordinances” (Phila. Code § 9-6600) both of which govern all worker protection ordinances, effective immediately. The Office of Worker Protections is in the process of updating all affected materials and regulations, and will be posting updates as they are finalized. Please refer to the text of the POWER Act for more information.
