Men's Health

Men in Philadelphia and nationally have higher rates of heart disease, stroke, and many types of cancer than women, but often delay seeking medical attention. This means that many men miss out on the opportunity to prevent complications from these common conditions.

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health provides a variety of services for men aimed at decreasing these disparities. From assistance with tobacco cessation to clinical services, including screening at our City health centers for diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, to HIV testing and counseling, we aim to provide early diagnosis and treatment to keep men healthy and feeling well.

We can help you apply for health insurance you can afford.

As a registered patient, you will get your own personal doctor. It's a much better way to get medical care than going from doctor to doctor or rushing to the emergency room when something goes wrong.
