Applicants must remit, at the time of application, a non-refundable fee in the amount of $17.00. Payment may be made by money order or personal check, made payable to "City of Philadelphia."
Applications are available on the Concourse Level of the Municipal Services Building, 15th & J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

To apply in person, please visit the Employment Application Center on the Concourse Level of the Municipal Services Building, 1401 J. F. Kennedy Boulevard in Center City Philadelphia. The Application Fee will be required at the time of application.
This application fee may be waived for individuals who demonstrate an inability to pay because of certain types of financial need.

U.S. VETERAN’S PREFERENCE NOTE:
Ten points for veteran’s preference will be added to the scores of eligible veterans who apply for open competitive tests and pass the examination (for concurrent examinations, this applies only to applicants who are not currently employed by the City in a civil service position). You must be honorably discharged from the U.S. armed forces. Attach a DD214, member 4, to your application if you wish your eligibility to be reviewed. Spouses of disabled or deceased veterans may also be considered.

PROJECTED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
The written examination is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8, 2007.
All candidates will be notified of their results by mail.
The Eligible List will last for two years and be established in January, 2008
