DUTIES:

This is technical fingerprint identification work at the full performance level; rolling, classifying, and identifying fingerprint impressions of prisoners, suspects, police department employees, and others.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status in the class of Fingerprint Identification Technician 1 in the Police Department with a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher;
and
2. EDUCATION:
   Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade;
and
3. EXPERIENCE:
   Two years of experience in fingerprint identification work, one year of which has been above the trainee level.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES

Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to appointment and during tenure of employment as a Fingerprint Identification Technician 2.

PROJECTED EXAMINATION SCHEDULE

Applicants will be evaluated and scored based upon their training and experience credentials. Applicants will not be asked to appear to take a scheduled examination.

TEST REVIEW
