TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Events to be held Saturday, October 18, to cause temporary road closures and impact mass transit and parking.

The 2025 Philly Bike Ride is scheduled to happen between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The course stretches between Manayunk and Penn’s Landing. Road closures and parking restrictions begin early Saturday morning. For a full list of closures, parking restrictions, and other event info, please visit the City’s press release.

Following the Philly Bike Ride will be the No Kings march and rally, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at City Hall before moving east to Independence Mall where a rally is planned until 3:30 p.m. Road closures will be in place based on conditions and public safety considerations and will be lifted on a rolling basis as streets are cleared. More information on road closures and parking restrictions is available in the City’s press release.

Expect residual delays on nearby roads and follow the direction of Philadelphia Police.

What we do

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) works to ensure the City of Philadelphia is ready for any kind of emergency. OEM works with organizations throughout the City to prepare for possible emergencies in the City, lessen their impact, and recover as quickly as possible.

To meet our mission, OEM:

  • Teaches the public how to prepare for emergencies.
  • Develops public safety plans for major events within the City.
  • Oversees development of the City’s plans for large-scale emergencies and disasters.
  • Conducts training and exercises to test the effectiveness of plans and policies.
  • Collects, analyzes, and disseminates incident information.
  • Coordinates and supports responses to and recovery from emergencies.
  • Obtains funding in support of preparedness for Philadelphia.
