Dental Care

Good dental health is important for children and adults. If you take good care of your teeth and gums, you can prevent cavities, inflammation of gums, tooth loss and bad breath.

Our dentists and other health professionals provide basic and emergency dental care to registered patients at 7 of our health centers. Dental services are not available at Strawberry Mansion Health Center.

You can also get dental care at many community health centers in Philadelphia.

Keep your mouth and teeth healthy
  • Brush your teeth every day with a fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss your teeth every day
  • Snack smart – limit sugary snacks
  • Don't smoke or chew tobacco
  • See a dentist regularly

Insurance

City health centers accept Medicare, Medicaid (Medical Assistance) and most insurance and HMO plans.
If you are uninsured, we charge a small fee based on family size and income.

We can help you apply for health insurance you can afford.

As a registered patient, you will get your own personal doctor. It's a much better way to get medical care than going from doctor to doctor or rushing to the emergency room when something goes wrong.
