The bereavement support services staff consists of three master’s level social workers. 
Our Bereavement Care Coordinator and Bereavement Care Provider reach out to families who have experienced the loss of an infant or toddler. They provide bereavement sessions to these families in their own homes.

Our Crisis Care Coordinator reaches out to families who have lost a loved one to homicide or suicide.  Services are also offered to individuals who come to the Medical Examiner’s Office for body identification during regular business hours.

All bereavement support staff members are also able to refer grieving families to other agencies for most medical or social service needs – including, but not limited to, possible burial or cremation assistance.

The bereavement support services unit does not accept interns.
