The City does not provide extermination services for insects inside of people's houses. However, you can receive information by mail or telephone on methods of controlling insects in your home by calling 215-685-9714. Also, any licensed Pest Control Operator can provide exterminator services for your home. You can choose these exterminators from your local telephone directory listings.

There are roaches all over my street in the evening. What can I do?

A Vector Control Abatement crew can treat the sewers in your neighborhood with a pesticide of low toxicity to help curb the problem. Call 215-685-9719 or –9720 to register your complaint.

There are insects coming from a vacant/abandoned house. Can you send someone to spray?

Due to PA State law, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health is not permitted to treat neighborhood properties. Complaints on any house should be submitted to the Housing and Complaints Unit of the Licenses and Inspections Department. Call 215-686-2463 for further assistance.
