Overview

The below safety guidelines from the Philadelphia Department of Public Health will help keep people safe as businesses, services, and activities restart in Philadelphia. Each safety checklist includes precautions that will prevent the spread of COVID-19; some are recommendations, and some are requirements.

Note: The Health Department does not recommend that employers ask employees who are not showing symptoms to be tested for COVID-19. For more information, see our multilingual COVID-19 testing guidance for Philadelphia employers.

If you have questions about how these guidelines affect your business, please email business@phila.gov. Employees or customers can report possible health and safety violations by calling 311.
