On April 4, 2019, the Philadelphia Water Department filed an Advance Notice of proposed rates and charges with the Water, Sewer, and Storm Water Rate Board (the local agency authorized to approve rate changes for the Water Department) to implement the annual adjustment to the Tiered Assistance Program Rate Rider Surcharge Rate (TAP-R) and to revise related water, sewer, and fire service connection quantity charges. The proposed changes in rates and charges will take effect on September 1, 2019.

- May 24, 2019: Filing of Initial Written Comments on Rate Proposal
Any affected members of the public may testify and submit written arguments and documentation at the public hearing. To participate you must register as a Participant no later than seven calendar days following the filing of the Formal Notice. We expect that registration deadline to be Monday, May 13, 2019.
