Submit a tip to the police

If you’d like to submit an anonymous tip to the police, you can do it via phone, email, or using an online form.

If you are reporting a crime in progress or require emergency service, dial 911 now.

How to report

Include as much information as possible, such as the physical address and the names of the people involved. If you would like someone to follow up with you directly, include your contact information.

Rewards for information

The City of Philadelphia offers rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of someone who has committed a crime.

The amount of the reward depends on the crime:

  • Homicide — $20,000
  • Firing a gun causing injuries to others within 500 feet of a school, recreation center, or library — $10,000
  • Illegally carrying or possessing a firearm — $500
