The best place to get immunizations is through your doctor. If you live in Philadelphia but do not have health insurance or do not have a regular doctor, you may be able to get immunizations at a PDPH health center or a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
If you need to get immunizations before going to college or to graduate or professional school, check with the school's student health service to see where they recommend you to go. You can also call the health department for more information about adult immunizations: 215-685-6424.
Some special vaccines that may be needed for travel, such as yellow fever vaccine or typhoid vaccine, will not be available through your doctor or an FQHC.
