We work in communities across Philadelphia to improve home safety and prevent injuries and death. Our prevention education programs address fire safety, falls, motor vehicle accidents, poisoning, burns, gun violence and consumer-product safety.

Low-Cost Child Care Seats
We provide low-cost child car seats and booster seats to low-income residents and show caregivers how to properly install the car seat. Once the child has outgrown the car seat, the family is eligible for an upgrade at no further cost.

We distribute child car seats and provide education to caregivers on the second Wednesday of each month. For more information or to sign up for a car seat, call 215-685-2328.

Home Safety Checks
We provide free home safety checks to help people make their homes safer. We show people how to childproof the home and how to avoid slip and fall injuries. We also provide free:
