Dispose of organic materials

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center allows businesses to dispose of organic materials.

For a tipping fee, commercial businesses can dispose of:

  • Leaves.
  • Grass clippings.
  • Brush.
  • Herbivore manure.
  • Wood chips.
NOTE: to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, all visitors must wear masks. Visitors without masks will be denied service.

Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Every other Saturday 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Upcoming Saturdays in 2020 include:

  • July 11 and July 25.
  • August 8 and August 22.
  • September 5 and September 19.
  • October 3, October 17, and October 31.
  • November 14.

How

Commercial businesses must complete a registration form to participate in the recycling program.

Registered businesses will receive permits that restrict them to certain roadways for hauling materials.

Businesses need to complete the daily log-in sheet and waiver form.

All disposed materials must be clean and delivered separately.

No plastic bags, metal, or trash of any kind will be accepted.

Recycling Center staff has the right to refuse disposal of any materials.
