Dispose of organic materials

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation’s Fairmount Park Organic Recycling Center allows businesses to dispose of organic materials.

For a tipping fee, commercial businesses can dispose of:

  • Leaves.
  • Grass clippings.
  • Brush.
  • Herbivore manure.
  • Wood chips.

Please note: The Recycling Center is closed to the public until further notice. This includes drop-offs and pick-ups. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. –  3 p.m.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (April-October)

How

Commercial businesses must complete a registration form to participate in the recycling program.

Registered businesses will receive permits that restrict them to certain roadways for hauling materials.

Businesses need to complete the daily log-in sheet and waiver form.

All disposed materials must be clean and delivered separately.

No plastic bags, metal, or trash of any kind will be accepted.

Recycling Center staff has the right to refuse disposal of any materials.
