The Domestic Worker Bill of Rights requires employers of domestic workers to provide their employees with a contract, paid time off, and other protections. Domestic workers include nannies, house cleaners, caregivers, and others who provide services in the home.
Employers must provide employees with a written contract that outlines the minimum terms specified in the law. The written contract must be provided in English and the preferred language of the employee. A Domestic Worker Bill of Rights contract template is provided below in English, Spanish, and French. Contact our office to request additional languages.
Employers can contact the Office of Worker Protections at the Department of Labor for compliance assistance. For more information, email domesticwork@phila.gov or call (215) 686-0802.sion on Human Relations
