 The Department of Commerce is here to help your business launch and thrive in Philadelphia.

The Department of Commerce offers many kinds of one-on-one business support. Individual businesses can meet with a business service manager to get help and advice. Business Technical Assistance Providers offer help with financing, legal matters, and skills training. Businesses in select low-to-moderate income areas can also be referred to the Business Coach program for specialized assistance.

Find specialized help for your business

The Department of Commerce provides funding to select nonprofit organizations that help businesses. Funding provided through the Business Technical Assistance Program (BTAP) helps organizations equip business with:

  • Business skills training.
  • Lending.
  • English language assistance.
  • Legal aid.
