READYEAGLES was created by OEM to keep the public connected to important developments and critical details before, during, and after the parade.

Nearly 100,000 people enrolled for free READYEAGLES text alerts, which were delivered through Everbridge, the City’s mass notification platform.

Parade attendees were informed of weather forecasts, public safety specifics, parade timing, mass transit details, and status of street closures to name a few.

The Office of Emergency Management’s successful plan and response to the sizable celebration was also recognized previously by Homeland Security Today.

The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management is proud to be named an Impact Award winner alongside some of the world’s most name-recognizable companies such as Sony Pictures, Starbucks, Walgreens, and Deere & Company.
