Center for Literacy

Offers Adult Basic Education (ABE)/General Educational Development (GED) classes, parental literacy classes, and English as Second Language (ESL) classes to adult learners.


Department of Public Health

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program supports environmental inspection of homes with children who have elevated lead levels; cleaning and remediation of lead hazards in the home; family relocation services during cleanings; caregiver education on lead poisoning prevention.


Department of Recreation: Older Adult Services

Offers support for six older adult centers provide recreational and support services to low income senior citizens.


North Philadelphia Human Services Development Corporation

Offers information and referrals services to help low-income families meet emergency needs including food, clothing, legal assistance, domestic abuse, security deposits, completing housing and employment applications, emergency rental payments, LIHEAP, CRISIS, and utility entitlements.


Office of Supportive Housing

Provides emergency shelter services to homeless individuals and families at three shelter sites, namely: Woodstock Family Center, Outley House Shelter, and Kirkbride Center.
