1:30 PM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Healthcare Rally in Support of the Affordable Care Act
The Mayor will join elected officials and members of organized labor to hold a rally at Temple University Hospital to discuss the fiscal and human costs of the repealing the ACA and the importance of preserving Medicare and Medicaid.

Monday, January 16
8:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Barrister’s Association Lunch
The Mayor will provide remarks to open this event celebrating Dr. King’s legacy.

9:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Kick Off Event
The Mayor will speak at a press conference to kick off the annual day of service. This year’s signature event features a project focused on early literacy, in part because of the City’s new pre-K initiative.

10:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Bag Groceries with Fire Fighters of Engine 35 Ladder 25
The Mayor will join firefighters in bagging groceries for the Shared Meal Program at this event geared towards increasing fire safety awareness and risk reduction.

11:00 AM Mayor Kenney to Speak at 32nd National Bell Ringing Ceremony
The Mayor will provide remarks as he stands with this year’s bell ringer White House Correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks April Ryan.

12:30 PM Mayor Kenney to Attend City Year and OCEVS Day of Service at Harding Middle School
The Mayor will tour facilities as City Year and Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Services volunteers paint.

2:00 PM Mayor Kenney to Speak at MLK Day of Service at William Way LGBT Community Center
The Mayor will speak about the importance of community service at this event featuring volunteer activities, guest speakers and performances.
