On August 25, 2016, Mayor Kenney wrapped up summer 2016 with his regular #AskKenney Twitter Chat, a monthly event where the Mayor answers questions submitted using the hashtag #AskKenney.

As usual, topics ran the gamut and included public health, rebuilding our parks, neighborhood rec centers, and libraries, and City policies on open data. Cheesesteaks even came up, too!

Check out a recap of the event below, and if you didn’t get your question answered, the Mayor will be back next month.

One resident asked about open data.

Another person asked what the Mayor was doing to expand opportunity across Philadelphia.

One tweeter asked about the city’s tech scene.

The Mayor even shared his favorite mode of transit: His feet!

Someone checked in on the status of Rebuild, the initiative funded by the Philly beverage tax to rebuild our parks, neighborhood rec centers, and libraries. You can sign up for updates here!

The Mayor also shared his favorite book!

Policies focusing on Philadelphia’s public health and wellness came up.

The Mayor’s choice of tie was noticed.

Someone even asked a pretty controversial (at least here in Philadelphia) question.
