Many Philadelphians are in need of free food this year due to challenges caused by COVID-19. In response, the City and partners have created new food and meal sites as well as a food access map.

Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, the regular schedule for many food and meal distributions will change during the week of November 23-27.

Please read on for updates about schedule changes, temporary site closures, meal sites open on Thanksgiving Day, and special food sites that will be open before the holiday.

Student Meal Sites

The School District of Philadelphia will be closed for food distribution on Friday, November 27 due to the District’s holiday schedule. Students and caregivers can instead pick up student meals for the week (five breakfasts and five lunches) on Wednesday, November 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the School District’s student meal site. Families are encouraged to confirm locations and schedules by calling 311 or visiting phila.gov/food.

All children and their caregivers are eligible. No ID is required.
