Is your organization looking to stepup in the fight against climate change?

Now’s the time to join the Climate Collaborative of Greater Philadelphia, a regional partnership designed to help leaders, businesses, and large organizations get involved in the fight to protect current and future generations from the impacts of global climate change. The City of Philadelphia is inviting regional businesses, colleges and universities, cultural institutions, and other organizations to join the Collaborative and to work together to meet their climate goals.

While Philadelphia has made progress on meeting our citywide climate goals of cutting citywide carbon pollution by 80 percent, achieving a 100 percent carbon-free electricity grid by 2050, and powering all City buildings on 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030, we know we cannot do this work alone.

The Climate Collaborative will allow participating institutions to gain access to workshops and technical assistance. The City launched these technical assistance offerings with a full-day workshop on October 17 which focuses on procuring renewable energy through off-site power purchase agreements (PPAs).

Institutions joined a public signing event on October 16 at the Franklin Institute which launched the collaborative and began the process of creating a collective vision for this work. There is currently no deadline for organizations to join the Collaborative.
