The Office of Sustainability is currently seeking candidates for a Deputy Director to support our vision of making Philadelphia a sustainable city for all.

The primary responsibilities of this position include implementation of and reporting on Greenworks: A Vision for a Sustainable Philadelphia and may include management of the City’s climate adaptation planning, application of a racial equity lens to sustainability in Philadelphia, and coordination of OOS’s food policy work, contingent on the experience and interest of the successful candidate. The position reports to the Director of Sustainability and works closely with multiple departments. Fluency in a second language is not required, but will be considered favorably in evaluating candidates, since it helps communicate about Greenworks to a larger segment of the public.
