Description of the Tax

Philadelphia Earnings Tax rates has been reduced for taxable compensation as of January 1, 2007. The Philadelphia resident rate is 4.26% and the non-resident rate is 3.7557%.  New tax rate:  As of January 2008 the Philadelphia resident rate will be 4.219% and the non-resident rate will be 3.7242%.
