Where is Recovery at work for you? What projects are taking place in your neighborhood? With the data-mapping tool below, provided by information reported to the federal government (www.recovery.gov), it is now possible to view projects being funded by the Recovery Act on a visual level.
The map provides an overview of data reported by prime and sub-recipients of Recovery Act funds for all of Philadelphia County, not just the City of Philadelphia, as of December 31, 2011. The amounts are cumulative from Feb. 17, 2009; the jobs are for the latest reporting quarter only.

It is also important to note that while the dots signify where prime and sub-recipients are physically located, it does not capture where all awarded Recovery Act funding is being put to use or having an effect across the city. For example, the City of Philadelphia was the prime recipient of a streets repaving award from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The dot representing this award will only appear once on the map, however, the repaving project is occurring citywide. For a more detailed look at projects taking place in Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, we encourage you to read our quarterly update, Stimulus at Work in Philadelphia.  Read the November 2011 issue.
