The Mayor’s Office of Sustainability spent a year researching municipal sustainability, talking with residents, and drafting Greenworks Philadelphia. The ambitious plan sets 15 sustainability targets in the areas of energy, environment, equity, economy, and engagement to make Philadelphia the greenest city in America by 2015.
Greenworks Philadelphia was released in spring of 2009, and in the first year of implementation the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and our partners made great strides toward making Philadelphia more sustainable. In May of 2010, we were pleased to present our first annual progress report. Please check back for continued updates on our work.
