Injured Dhs Social Worker Attends Phillies Play Off Game
Philadelphia- Department of Human Services social worker Danelle Cooper, who was assaulted last week while responding to a tip call about abused children, will be Mayor John Streets guest at today’s Phillies game. 
Cooper, a social worker at DHS for 9 years was physically attacked in North Philadelphia last Wednesday as she checked on the condition of several young children.  Cooper was rushed to the hospital after a neighbor called police- she was released from the hospital the following day.

Acting DHS Commissioner, Dr. Arthur Evans notified Mayor Street and Managing Director Loree D. Jones about Cooper’s situation and they invited her to be their guest along with Philadelphia Police Officer Richard Decoatsworth who was shot in the line of duty last week.
