Effective August 14, 2022
Philadelphia Parks & Recreation is no longer managing the Philadelphia Activities Fund. The new administrator for the Fund is The Urban Affairs Coalition.
The new website includes:
- Grant details.
- Application and funds report forms.
- List of past recipients.
The Philadelphia Activities Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a non-profit corporation. It supports people and communities through projects that promote sportsmanship, the arts, and health.
The Fund awards grant money to projects that:
- Serve diverse audiences.
- Provide skills training.
- Offer learning or motivational experiences.
The average grant award is between $500 – $1,000. That money can be used for things like:
- Umpiring and referee fees.
- Other program costs.
The grant cannot be used for capital costs, like repairing buildings, new construction, or other building fees.
The grant is only for non-profit organizations.
Non-profit organizations that have received Philadelphia Cultural Fund Grants or Anti-Drug Initiative Grants are not eligible for the Philadelphia Activities Fund Grant.
Each City Council district office reviews grant applications and makes grant award recommendations to the PAF Board. Those who receive grants will have to submit annual reports and could be asked to host site visits. Additional details will be provided in the grant contract
