On Wednesday, October 18th, 75 volunteers from the Chubb insurance company partnered with the Mayor’s Office of Education and SERVE Philadelphia to volunteer at two of our city’s community schools, South Philadelphia High School and William Cramp Elementary School.

Chubb volunteers arrived at Southern with hygiene products that were collected through a company-wide donation drive. They proceeded to repaint, reorganize, and expand the school’s community closet, a resource that provides free clothing and toiletries to students and members of the community.

At Cramp, the Chubb volunteers created a uniform closet, which they stocked with 50 donated sets of new school uniforms. The closet will provide uniforms to students who have difficulty obtaining uniforms due to financial distress, housing instability, or other emergencies.
