Rotational towing information for towing businesses

The City of Philadelphia has contracted with AutoReturn to manage the dispatch and administrative functions of the rotational towing system. The AutoReturn system is currently in the pilot phase in southern portions of the city and will be phased in to all six police divisions citywide in the months ahead. Representatives from AutoReturn will be contacting participating towing companies prior to the new changes taking effect in each police division.

Philadelphia’s rotational towing program makes sure there are safe, fair towing practices in the city. The rotational towing program is authorized by The Philadelphia Code. Wreck chasing and soliciting towing business from accident scenes without a proper dispatch is illegal in the City of Philadelphia. The documents below provide additional information on the rotational towing program.
