Overview of the City's policy

If you are a City employee or contractor reporting wrongdoing, you are protected from retaliation. Retaliation is a negative action taken against an employee as a direct result of filing a whistleblower report. This might include:

  • Dismissal.
  • Suspension.
  • Reassignment.
  • Other negative actions.

If you believe that you are experiencing retaliation after filing a report with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), contact the OIG immediately at or (215) 686-1770.
