Center for Employment Opportunities
Center for Employment Opportunities works to reduce recidivism and increase employment. It provides people returning from prison immediate paid employment, skills training, and ongoing career support.
First Step Staffing
First Step Staffing is a nonprofit staffing agency primarily serving individuals who have recently experienced homelessness, military veterans, and individuals who have been previously incarcerated.
Promise Corps
An AmeriCorps organization managed locally by CEO, Promise Corps provides near-peer mentoring and coaching to students at four high schools—West Philadelphia, Sayre, School of the Future, and Overbrook—that draw students from the West Philadelphia Promise Zone. Each school has a poverty rate of 100 percent and an average high school graduation rate of only 64 percent.
