“What water bill services can I get at your Center City and Northeast locations?” We get great questions like this from our residents daily. In this blog post, we’ve compiled the various water bill services available at the Municipal Services Building (MSB) in Center City and at our Northeast satellite office. But first, let’s start with services you can access remotely.

Skip the trip! 

While we are eager to serve you in person, you can save yourself a trip by taking advantage of our online water bill services. You can get nearly all our services from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Whether it is paying your bills, applying to become a water customer, or requesting to settle water liens, you can do it all online without waiting in line or over the phone. This is the best way to access our water bill services.

For example, you’ve picked out the perfect new home or apartment and now need water service in your name. You can easily check this off your moving checklist by completing our fillable application form and emailing it to wrb.contactintake@phila.gov along with the required documents. Similarly, title companies can make water settlement or payoff requests by completing this water payoff request form and emailing it to wateramountdue@phila.gov.

Bill payment – if you mail in your water bill payment, it generally takes up to five days to post from the day we receive your check. But you can skip this delay by paying online through our e-billing platform, MyPhillyWaterBill. Payments submitted through this website will post within two-three days. But that’s not all; customers with MyPhillyWaterBill accounts can view, pay or print copies of their water bills online.

Hundreds of customers have signed up for a MyPhillyWaterBill account. You can sign up too! All you need is your access code (a 9-digit number found on your bill) and your zip code to enroll. If your bill is lost, call us at (215) 685-6300 to request your code and print a copy online.

Visit us in person 

We do understand that everyone isn’t online. Some customers also prefer in-person services. If this is your case, don’t hesitate to visit our MSB and Northeast offices to:

  • Pay your bills – please be aware that our Center City (MSB) location is the only location that accept cash payments,
  • Set up payment agreements,
  • Ask questions about your bill or our water customer assistance programs
  • Request or submit new tenant, occupant, and commercial water customer applications.

Keep in mind that while appointments aren’t required to access in-person services at these locations, we strongly encourage you to make an appointment or call before coming in.
