In January, the Mayor signed Bill No. 210917 to support entrepreneurs looking for the right rental location for their small businesses. Beginning March 18, 2022, a commercial property owner leasing out a space to a business must provide a Commercial Leasing Notice about the property and how to learn more about it.
The Notice includes step-by-step instructions for:
- Researching what permits have been issued to a property.
- Reading a Zoning permit.
- Verifying the uses legally authorized at a property.
- Determining whether a property has any open violations.
