Philly’s newly designed tax website is now live! The Philadelphia Tax Center is where you can find, file, and pay most business taxes, including your Net Profits TaxLiquor Tax, and Beverage Tax. The new system comes with some big upgrades, and makes interacting with our department online easier than ever. But if you are an existing taxpayer in Philadelphia, you must create a new username and password to take full advantage of these new tools.

When you create a username and password to use the Philadelphia Tax Center, you will find that your access to most tax services is just a click away. You will also realize that you no longer have to call, email, or visit us for such services as applying for tax credits or submitting refund requests.

In short, logging in allows you to:

The system nevertheless allows you to access several services without creating a username and password. For example, you don’t need an account to pay your bills online or respond to letters from the Revenue Department. But having a login gives you full access to most self-service features – it expands your ability to make changes to your tax and personal information.

Got an account?

If you are already a Philly taxpayer, you don’t need to create new accounts. You only need to create a username and password to request a verification letter from us. The letter will come in the mail with a unique code that you can use to access your tax accounts.

This one-time verification process helps us keep your tax and personal information safe. It’s therefore important that we have your correct mailing address on file. This short video will guide you through the process. We have also published this guide to help you get started.

New taxpayers

New taxpayers or tax professionals will need to register for an account, and the process is simple. No need for a verification letter from us. From the “New taxpayers “panel on the homepage, click “Register a new taxpayer” to create a log in. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

If you have trouble registering through the Philadelphia Tax Center, please call (215) 686-6600 for all the help you need.
