PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Department of Public Health today reported an additional 16,640 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Philadelphia since last reported on Monday, August 30. This brings the total number of fully vaccinated Philadelphians to at least 823,207, and the number of Philadelphians with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine to at least 1,004,888. Currently, 66.3 percent of Philadelphia adults are fully vaccinated, and 80.9 percent of Philadelphia adults have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The Department of Health reports 191 patients with COVID-19 are currently being treated in Philadelphia hospitals, with a total of 20 on ventilators.

In the last two weeks, five percent of COVID-19 tests in Philadelphia have come back positive. Thus far during the pandemic, 155,223 Philadelphians have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and 3,810 have succumbed to the virus. Philadelphia is averaging 304 new cases of COVID-19 per day over the last two weeks.

City of Philadelphia Municipal Offices Closed on Monday, September 6: The City of Philadelphia will be closed on Monday, September 6 in recognition of the Labor Day holiday. No COVID-19 press release will be issued on Monday, September 6; the next COVID-19 press release will be issued Thursday, September 9.
