As Philadelphia rolls into fall, the City is rolling out a new, paperless water e-billing service.

Water customers have long requested the option to go paperless. You can soon take advantage of this feature—and several others—as part of the City’s new water bill payment website.

More information about MyPhillyWaterBill will arrive in the mail with your next bill. Here are some of the other benefits you’ll learn about:

  • Free AutoPay: Set up automatic, recurring payments using a checking or savings account.
  • Account history: See up to 13 months of payments and usage.
  • Notifications: Get emails about when bills are due, and more.

Not interested in paying online? No worries. You will still be able to pay by mail, phone or in person.

Create an account, use FREE eCheck

To continue making free, one-time water bill payments with eCheck, you will have to create a MyPhillyWaterBill account.

Creating an account is easy and fast. You will need your:

  • Nine-digit Water Access Code (found on the top right of a paper bill), and
  • ZIP code.

Existing ZipCheck customers can enroll into the new AutoPay by:

  • Creating an account
  • Scheduling automatic payments

This will end your ZipCheck payments. There’s no need to cancel manually and you won’t be double-billed.

All forms of payments are processed though an official, third-party vendor. None of your credit or banking information is ever viewed or saved by City staff.

We’re very excited about offering greater convenience and control over your water account. Expect to hear a lot more about MyPhillyWaterBill as soon as the new website is available.
