Philadelphia Parks & Recreation offers both neighborhood day camps and specialized theme camps at our playgrounds, recreation centers, and facilities across the city.

Many summer camps are already full, but a few are still accepting registrations. Read on for a selection of summer camps that still have openings, and register today to guarantee your child’s spot!

Neighborhood Camps

Parks & Rec’s neighborhood day camp activities typically include arts and crafts, sports and athletics, performing arts, nature activities, library time and reading literacy, dance and exercise, swimming and spray park visits, weekly field trips, and more.

Christy Recreation Center (West Philadelphia)

Visual Arts Camp at Holmesburg Playground (Northeast Philadelphia)

Join us for a fun arts and crafts program that includes art projects, including weekly canvas painting, a Read by 4th literacy program, board games, indoor/outdoor play, gardening, lunch, and snack.

Tennis Camp (several locations city-wide)

Join Legacy Youth Tennis and Education for a Community Tennis Summer Camp that includes comprehensive tennis instruction and game foundation, singles and team matches, a National USTA essay contest, and fun educational activities.

Legacy will provide equipment (but participants can choose to bring their own racquets), Legacy t-shirt, and lunch. Campers should wear appropriate clothing and sneakers, and bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Rowing Camp at Lloyd Hall (North Center City)

Ever dreamed of rowing on the river? Are you interested in learning how to row? Well, here is a great opportunity for local teenagers to do just that. Philadelphia Parks & Recreation will offer four (4) two-week sessions where campers will be taught the basics of the sport.

Campers must be able to meet the requirements listed in the registration form. Breakfast and a snack will be provided. Campers can pack a lunch or purchase lunch at Cosmic Café located at Lloyd Hall.

Young Performers Theater Camp: Senior Musical Theater at Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation (Manayunk)

Does your child have an expressed interest in the theater and related arts? This fun and educational camp provides instruction and stage experience in dance, music, and drama.
