Robert Fitzmartin

Robert Fitzmartin graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1977 and proceeded to Temple University where he graduated in 1981 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Criminal Justice.
Mr. Fitzmartin began his career with the City as an Accountant Trainee in the Finance Department’s Accounting Bureau in 1981. He held the position of Accountant when promoted to the Budget Bureau in 1986 as a Budget Analyst. Mr. Fitzmartin returned to the Accounting Bureau in 1995 when he accepted the position of Grants Accounting Supervisor. In 1997 he was promoted to General Accounting Supervisor where he remained until 2008.

After almost 27 years of experience, Mr. Fitzmartin left the Finance Department in February, 2008 to accept a promotion as the Fiscal Officer for the Philadelphia Prisons. He advanced to the position of Administrative Services Director in August of 2009.
Mr. Fitzmartin is a life-long resident of Philadelphia and resides in Fox Chase with his wife and daughters.
